SKILLED RESIDENTIAL CARPENTER JOB DESCRIPTION:
George M. Neuwirt Construction has opportunities for skilled “frame to finish” quality, conscious carpenters. Qualified candidates must have at least 8-10 years of diversified residential construction experience in all aspects of construction and renovation. TEAM LEADER/PROJECT MANAGER
An opportunity is currently available for a skilled individual that has high level residential construction “frame to finish” experience and that is proficient at or is interested in and capable to move up to a “hands on” Leadership, Project Management (labor and materials) role. Qualified candidates must have at least 8-10 years of diversified residential construction experience in all aspects of construction and renovation. Experience at managing all aspects of a project or multiple projects including the direction of other Associates is desirable. Training and coaching to develop into this leadership role will be considered for a candidate that possesses the appropriate personal traits and construction knowledge. HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/EXCAVATION SPECIALIST
George M. Neuwirt Construction, LLC is a high-quality residential construction company located in Sunapee, NH. We are seeking an experienced excavation specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a variety of types of earth moving equipment in a construction setting in a safe and efficient manner and completing work according to the project specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment on a variety of residential construction projects.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation, including time sheets, work orders, and other required paperwork.
- Communicate with project managers and other fellow associates to ensure smooth operation and completion of project goals and objectives, both short and long term.
- Load, unload and move materials as needed.
- Backfill excavations and some use shovels, rakes or other hand tools.
- Smooth out rough spots, ensure proper grade and elevations and assist in the removal of debris from site.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in excavation work
- Ability to complete all the essential job functions in a safe and effective manner.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information as related to the equipment and work to be performed.
- Possess a strong mechanical willingness and aptitude.
- Leadership skills and ability to work with a team towards continuous improvement.

PAINTER HELPER/APPRENTICE
GM Neuwirt Construction has a solid history of full-time year around employment. We are a high-end residential construction company and possess a reputation of the HIGHEST QUALITY AND UNQUESTIONABLE INTEGRITY. We currently have an outstanding opportunity for candidates that are interested in starting at the ground floor in a career in residential construction. We will work with and train hard working individuals interested in learning the trade of Interior and Exterior Painting at the highest level. Qualified individuals must possess the equivalent and relative skills of at least a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license and be able to complete all reasonable types of physical work. This position is responsible for assisting experienced team members in everything from proper safety techniques, site prep and surface treatment, preparing and applying coatings in an exacting manner, maintaining a clean and spot free work area to various clean up tasks.

Our Compensation Package:

The benefits on this list are all elective as some involve financial contribution on behalf of the associate. These benefits are only available for regular full-time associates and are subject to change at any time.
- Health Care Coverage – Multiple choice of plans are available depending upon personal needs and the ability or willingness to contribute towards a portion of the premium. The Company will contribute up to $500.00 per month towards an associate’s elected coverage. Summary Plan Descriptions and Enrollment Applications are available under the 3 circumstances below.
- Upon hire – new associates are eligible for health coverage to start the 1st of the month after hire date, if forms are returned to Bookkeeper in a timely manner. (i.e., hire date Feb. 12, health coverage eligible start date March 1st)
- Open Enrollment (Oct. 15 to Dec. 15)
- Significant life event (loss of previous coverage, etc.)
- Simple IRA – This plan is administered by Northeast Financial Planning Associates and LPL Financial. Funds are held through Aristotle Funds. The Company will match 100% up to 3% of associate’s gross earnings “before tax” elected contributions. Those funds are deposited each month into the investment options selected by each associate.
- If elected contribution is 8% of gross earnings, company match will be maxed at the 3% of the associate’s gross earnings
- If elected contribution is less than 3% of gross earnings, then the match will equal the lesser amount
- i.e., if elected contribution is 2%, the company match will equal that 2%
- A $150.00 per year Tool Allowance is offered to each Trades Associate towards the purchase of personal tools through the company’s charge account at Belletetes. With prior approval, the associate may seek reimbursement up to $150.00 for purchases made at other stores that qualify.
- A $150.00 per year Clothing Allowance is offered to all associates through the company’s charge account at Hubert’s. (Some Company Logoed clothing is provided at no cost to associates.) With prior approval, the associate may seek reimbursement up to $150.00 for purchases made at other stores that qualify.
- A $75.00 Dental Cleaning Reimbursement is offered twice a year for dental cleanings by an accredited Dental Office. A paid receipt copy should be turned in to the Bookkeeper for reimbursement.
- Company vehicles are offered for certain individuals occupying positions that require a vehicle to complete their essential job functions. Vehicles are assigned on a case-by-case basis and assignments are subject to change as company needs change and position responsibilities evolve.
- Paid Vacation is offered on the following schedule as outlined in the Associate Handbook. Each anniversary is marked by the associate’s hire date.
- After 1 year worked – 1 week paid vacation (40 hours)
- After 2 years worked – 2 weeks paid vacation (80 hours)
- After 5 years worked – 3 weeks paid vacation (120 hours)
- If there are any leftover vacation hours not used prior to the associate’s next anniversary date of hire, the hours will carry over and accrue. The associate does have the option to take a payout of hours – with prior approval. This payout is at regular pay on top of any worked time.
- If the associate worked 42 hours and elected 16 hours vacation payout, the associate would be paid 16 hours regular pay for the vacation hours, 40 hours regular worked time, plus 2 hours worked OT.
- Paid Holidays (Current offering) New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. A paid Holiday is paid at 8 hours of regular pay and does not count toward OT.
- If the associate worked 42 hours the rest of the week, the associate would be paid 8 hours regular pay for the Holiday, 40 hours regular worked time, plus 2 hours worked OT.
- Company Discounts are offered on company services through both GM Neuwirt Construction and Trusted Rentals on such things as auto service and repair, parts and materials, rental equipment, etc. Approval of requests for these discounts are made on a case-by-case basis.
